A friendly note…
By default we allocate 1hr 45min for bookings. Please help us stay in business by understanding our charges for longer durations. Guests staying for 3-4 hours have prevented us from being able to accept other guests which jeopardises the business. By adding a small fee we can guarantee your table to you for longer and it helps reduces losses from turning guests away. Non refundable. See website for full T&Cs
Please be on time 🙂Please note we are a very popular small independent and being efficient in allocating tables at busy times is essential. It is therefore important that guests turn up on time as well to give us time to clear, clean and prepare for the next guests. If the length of time requested is not available, please discuss with us, we can possibly offer extended times on quieter days and times.

Due to various reasons from being able to cater for everyone all at once to the service levels we aspire to, to the additional demands of groups and complaints from other guests about noise and previous issues relating to group bookings in a small restaurant. If we were a bigger venue it would not be an issue, sorry!.

⚠️ We do not have baby changing facilities nor a highchair I’m afraid. As our regular customers know, we are more of a small and intimate restaurant and as such we cannot always accept pushchairs as they are a trip hazard and we have no storage.

Wheelchair Access

WHEELCHAIRS
We prioritise bookings for wheelchairs and less able bodied customers wherever possible. There is one step to get into Josephine’s but we do have a ramp. Motorised scooters might need to stay outside though.

We are so sorry but Josephine’s is generally not ideal for pushchairs or prams. We are extremely small and unfortunately do not have the space.
We also do NOT have baby change facilities.

You are more than welcome to book for before 4pm but we need to make you aware of the limited facilities available.
We do not accept ANY pushchairs after 4pm due to it limiting our capacity for evening dining. As a small venue we have to maximise our possible revenue at peak times due to the current economic climate. We’re sorry if this disappoints but this is an issue caused beyond our control.
Please note we do not offer a children’s menu but some dishes may be suitable.

Afternoon Tea at Josephine’s is designed to be an experience. That starts the moment you come in. The message scrolls have proven to be immensely popular, bringing tears of joy to many people and are very instagrammable.
