If you want proper genuine tasty food, proper portions and above all, proper service then Josephine’s sets the bar. Went to the Ivy recently to see what the fuss was about and left there poorer, hungry and disappointed. I cannot understate the importance and difference of an independent over these tacky brands that rely on a name. It’s really important you guys still maintain the high standards you have – and thankfully if anything you’re even better. Loving the new decor you’re slowly bringing in and the new dishes are fantastic – the beef cobbler is probably the best beef dish in Nottingham. Keep it up! We had a lovely lunch at Josephine’s before going to the theatre. The staff were so kind and helpful, especially as one of our group had a food allergy. Everything was spectacular! We can in on Sunday the 1st of Feb 2026 for afternoon tea. I can with my mum and 4 year old daughter and we had an absolute fabulous time. I asked them to decorate our table because it was a special occasion and they went above and beyond to make it look beautiful. The restaurant was stunning and so was the food! The selection of teas and other drink options was fantastic. The afternoon tea was amazing and beautifully presented. And so were the drinks. The service was impeccable (we were served by a young man, I wish I had his name) who was very sweet! I could not fault anything about our visit and I will definitely be back! Thank you! Booked a table for the 3 of us for my birthday to have birthday afternoon tea. Easy to book online. Arrived slightly early however this was accomodated for us and our table was ready. The table was decorated and a gift for my birthday. The waitress who served us was very informative, polite. So lovely. We had a mocktail mojito, which was delicious and refreshing. Entree was tasty. Afternoon tea was so delicious too. The atmosphere was so nice, relaxing, music was spot on, my husband loved it. Its a beautiful place, decor we loved to.
